I am a new mom living in the South End and have been learning how to navigate the baby scene in Boston as I get ready to jump back into my career after maternity leave.  I am fortunate to have an amazing husband who will be taking care of our little girl and pup during the day, then I get to be a full time momma at night while he is finishing up his degree.

Our start to parenthood was a little rocky as my water broke at 31 weeks which required a 3 week hospital stay before our baby was born 6 weeks premature.  While she spent the next 34 days in the NICU, we quickly realized that we were not prepared to bring a full term baby home yet let alone a preemie.  When we were not at the hospital with her, we were getting the nursery ready which meant trekking all over Boston buying lots of last minute products that we never even thought would be necessary and really didn’t have room for in our small condo.

I decided to start this blog to post opinions on “must-have” products, my experiences as a new mom living in the city as well as local services and events.  My hope is that other families find this information useful and can save them from some the headaches that we learned the hard way.
